b2/cafelog was the General Public License plateform, so Matt decided that he would now make an update program for this platform and so he needed a partner and Mike Little (WordPress Co-founder) filled that gap.
In this way both of them took inspiration from b2/cafelog and created a better platform which was named WordPress. Both of them probably had no idea that this platform would create a new industry of designers, developers, writers, bloggers and web publishers around the world.
